October proved to be a month of mock-filled festivities, with competitions almost every weekend this month! From October 24-25th, RUMTA’s B and C Teams gave stellar performances at their respective tournaments. B Team competed at University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s Charm City Classic Invitational, facing teams from Penn State University, Wheaton College, Haverford College, and Patrick Henry College. B Team Captain, Neha Aluwalia, highlighted their success, noting “I couldn’t be prouder of my team at our first competition! Competing in a virtual environment is a new experience, and each member rose to the occasion. I am especially proud of our four new members.” RUMTA applauds B Team on their hard work and especially congratulates Kimberly Mohabeer on her 23/30 rank Outstanding Attorney award!

Meanwhile, C Team echoed the success with their performance at William and Mary’s Colonial Classic Invitational. C Team went up against teams from Princeton University, Michigan State University, and William and Mary. C team Captain Michael Brestin left the tournament satisfied with his team’s improvement, commenting “Our team is learning a lot very quickly and it’s exciting to see us continuously improve. I’m really looking forward to seeing how far we can go.”

With back to back competitions and finally getting acclimated to “zoom mock,” RUMTA couldn’t be prouder of all of our competitors (especially our new members) who’ve worked tirelessly to improve and compete at their best!
